Great cameras, software could be better.11 November 2018The cameras are fantastic. Clear pictures day & night. Also has great audio, if you need that, even when fitted in a Jeep driven with the roof off! Only real issue was the speed camera warnings, that seem to trigger near any major intersection, including motorway overpasses, rather than to fixed camera locations. I just turned that off. The free player is ok. No instructions or help files for using it, and it can be a bit of a trial to figure out some features. Having said that, the updated software has fixed the map errors that prevented the map from working. If you want to edit, you will need proper editing software, but this works for viewing & viewing as PIP for front & rear, with map panel showing where on the route you are, and indicators for speed, direction & G forces. Also displays instantaneous speed as well as max speed & distance traveled, on that video segment.
Camera video useless15 October 2018The camera works well it's a shame the PC video software is hopeless continual script errors map doesn't work , contacted DOD and they don't know when it will be fixed
Dash Cam Owners Australia Response
Hi Michael sorry to hear that, The script errors occur because the mapping is Google Maps and when they change things it can mess up any programs that use their maps. A new update has just been released in the last few days which can be downloaded here: http://www.dod-tec.com/index.php/download/df_file/480 And the maps are working on our PC with that version.
